Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2025
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ThreatRidge ("Service"), operated by ThreatRidge ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, including running a free Cyber Health Score check, purchasing a report, or subscribing to ongoing monitoring, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement with us. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
ThreatRidge provides consumer-focused breach intelligence and exposure lookups using publicly available and licensed breach databases (HaveIBeenPwned-style data sources). The Service may include:
- A free Cyber Health Score based on your email's exposure history.
- Paid one-time breach reports with detailed remediation guidance.
- Optional subscription monitoring with alerts for new breaches.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Breach data is sourced from third parties and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Only submit email addresses you own or are authorized to check.
- Provide accurate billing information and keep account credentials secure.
- Not use the Service to harass, dox, or investigate third parties without their consent.
- Not attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or interfere with the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Comply with all applicable laws when using the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these obligations, with or without notice.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
ThreatRidge is an informational tool, not a security product. A clean score does not guarantee you have not been compromised, and a low score does not guarantee specific harm. You are responsible for your own security decisions.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ThreatRidge and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, logos, reports, and aggregated data, is owned by ThreatRidge or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service and any reports we deliver to you for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or create derivative works from our reports or data without our prior written consent.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may cancel a subscription from your account or by contacting support; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period and are not pro-rated.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, but sections that by their nature should survive (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Intellectual Property, and Governing Law) will survive.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You and ThreatRidge agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware for any dispute that is not subject to mandatory arbitration or small claims court. Where required by local consumer protection law, mandatory rights in your country of residence are not waived.
